YSM seeks a part-time Kitchen Assistant for 16 hours weekly at the Davis Centre Daycare. Work alongside staff and children while building relationships with staff, parents, and children. Support children’s growth through healthy, nutritious food and dependable kitchen routines.
Key Responsibilities: Heat food and assemble snacks for children
Cut, portion, and deliver food to classrooms
Accommodate children with special dietary needs
Maintain temperature logs and safe food storage
Wash dishware and maintain cleaning schedules
Requirements: Post-secondary education
Positive oral and written English communication skills
Food Handler Certification
CPR and First Aid
Availability for 16 hours weekly and staff meetings
Support YSM’s daycare community through nutritious food preparation, safe sanitation, and responsive kitchen service each day.
