Support Serco’s airfield services with heavy equipment operation, vehicle checks, and communication equipment at 5 Wing Goose Bay.
This Heavy Equipment Operator works alongside military customers and Serco teams supporting Department of National Defence operations. You will operate equipment and light vehicles, complete POL checks, maintain components, and record required information. Assignments may include remote and off-site work while following applicable operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct beginning-of-shift POL checks
Operate heavy equipment, light vehicles, and communications equipment
Replace cutting edges, sweeper bristles, tires, oils, and lubricants
Record vehicle statistics, time entries, and deliverables
Act as Lead when required
Requirements: At least one year of heavy equipment operating experience
Valid NL Class 3 license with 8 and 9 endorsement
Ability to obtain DND 404 for government vehicles
Ability to obtain and maintain Enhanced Reliability clearance
Airfield operating experience considered an asset
Use heavy equipment, maintenance, and airfield operations knowledge to deliver accurate, compliant services for Serco and DND.
