Support patient care as a full-time Rehabilitation Assistant at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre using rehabilitation support skills. Work under Physiotherapist supervision.

Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation, this Rehabilitation Assistant provides treatment and patient care services as directed by professional practice guidelines. The position supports Patient and Family Centred Care within the rehabilitation department. It also includes department maintenance and ongoing communication with rehabilitation team members. The role requires formal rehabilitation training, patient care experience, continuing education, and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide treatment services under Physiotherapist direction and supervision
- Deliver rehabilitation support and direct patient care




- Maintain the rehabilitation department and its operations
- Communicate ongoing updates with rehabilitation department members
- Support Patient and Family Centred Care principles

Requirements:

- Formal Rehabilitation Assistant training or equivalent education
- Experience in a rehabilitation program workplace
- Experience providing rehabilitation support and direct patient care
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
