Apply accounting analysis and financial reporting expertise as a Senior Accountant with SD42 in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this full time continuing position manages accounting records, financial data, budgets, and projections. You will process accounting data, reconcile accounts, prepare reports, and support departments and schools across School District No. 42. The schedule is 35 hours weekly on a 12-month schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts
- Process system data transfers and payroll interfaces
- Perform complex bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Develop cash flow projections and spending plans

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Three to five years’ intermediate accounting experience
- Knowledge of Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial information systems
- Valid BC driver’s license
