This temporary long-term contract runs until the end of March 2027. You will create original stories and breaking news coverage for audiences across New Brunswick and beyond. The work combines reporting, editing, story pitching, and multimedia production within the CBC New Brunswick newsroom. Collaboration spans journalists across three provincial stations and requires strong news judgment.
Key Responsibilities: Pitch original stories for text, audio, and video treatments
Respond quickly to breaking news assignments
Write and package stories with multimedia clips
Take photos and gather audio and video




Collaborate with journalists across three New Brunswick stations
Requirements: Journalism degree or equivalent newsroom experience
Excellent writing skills and strong story development ability
Sound news judgment and critical thinking
Knowledge of New Brunswick and Atlantic provinces current events
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Bring curious reporting, efficient writing, and multimedia storytelling skills to CBC New Brunswick’s Fredericton newsroom in office.
