This permanent full-time position serves patients in Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, and Courtice. You will collect blood and other specimens, conduct patient tests, and provide reassuring customer service. The work includes data entry, ECGs, specimen handling, and quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain blood samples and other patient specimens
Conduct ECGs, Holter hookups, and collection procedures
Enter patient and test information accurately
Sort specimens and prepare documentation for transportation
Maintain confidentiality and support quality metrics
Requirements: Secondary School completion and laboratory assistant training
Specialized phlebotomy training or Medical Lab Assistance coursework
Skill managing anxious patients during sample collection
Detail orientation and deadline-focused self-management
English proficiency for explicit patient communication
