Support resident comfort in a casual Health Care Aide role at AgeCare’s New Westminster location, using safe basic care practices and transfer equipment.
As a Health Care Aide, you collaborate with the care team under Staff Nurse supervision. You provide thorough basic care and services, meeting individual resident needs within your knowledge, skills, and competency. Your work includes personal care, mobility assistance, feeding, routine treatments, and participation in resident activities.
Key Responsibilities: Bathed, showered, and washed residents following care procedures
Assisted transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Fed residents according to their care plan diets




Provided routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompanied residents to meals, therapy, and recreation
Requirements: Recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
Active registration with the CLHA
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year of continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
