Support UBCO Food Services with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and waste management as a Sessional Kitchen Attendant. Work under guidance in a university kitchen workplace.
Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will maintain kitchen and storeroom cleanliness while supporting daily food service operations. The position takes day-to-day direction from the First Cook and interacts with Food Services Staff. Training new Kitchen Attendants may also be required.
Key Responsibilities: Clean kitchens and maintain safe sanitary conditions
Wash dishes and support kitchen cleanliness
Clean storerooms and manage kitchen waste
Train new Kitchen Attendants as required
Complete other duties as required
Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent education
Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
One year related experience or equivalent combination
Ability to lift 30 or more pounds safely
Availability for flexible hours, evenings, and weekends
Bring organized kitchen maintenance, dishwashing, and waste management skills to UBCO Food Services while supporting safe operations.
