Emera seeks a Co-op Tax student for its Corporate Tax team from January 4 through April 30, 2027. You will work with tax and finance professionals while supporting Canadian corporate tax compliance. The experience includes tax research, reporting, documentation, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare Canadian corporate income tax returns
Complete Canadian tax information returns using Excel and Corporate Taxprep
Assist with monthly HST filings for multiple entities
Maintain records supporting corporate tax returns
Respond to Canada Revenue Agency audit requests
Requirements: Pursuing an undergraduate Accounting, Finance, or related degree
Proactive, detail-oriented approach to assigned work
Excellent organization managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Robust analytical, communication, and collaborative skills
Microsoft Office and SharePoint proficiency; Corporate Taxprep experience is an asset
Develop Canadian tax compliance, reporting, research, and communication skills with Emera’s Corporate Tax team in Halifax.
