As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, you will support ophthalmology services through careful instrument reprocessing and sterilization. Your work includes decontamination, assembly, testing, storage, and stock rotation. Attention to detail, sound judgment, and alertness are essential while following written procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Receive, sort, disassemble, and decontaminate instruments
Clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store instruments
Maintain accurate records of sterile items
Rotate stock and reprocess outdated supplies
Test sterilization processes and maintain required records
Requirements: Recognized Sterile Processing Technician certificate or MDR course
Current CSA or IACHSMM/HSPA certification required
Physical ability to perform position duties
Strong attention to detail, judgment, and alertness
Availability Monday to Saturday, including rotating Saturdays
Use sterile processing, sterilization testing, and detailed recordkeeping skills to support LASIK MD Edmonton South ophthalmology services.
