Registered Practical Nurse position in Southampton focused on patient assessment, therapeutic care, and medical-surgical nursing. This is a full-time chance requiring all-shift availability.
Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse promotes health and provides supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care. The position includes assessment, treatment, patient interviews, and collaboration with families and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients and provide appropriate nursing care
Support therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative patient needs
Work in Emergency as required
Escort patients through ambulance services when required
Participate in staff meetings and unit projects
Requirements: Current Ontario nursing registration or eligibility
Current BCLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to learn basic arrhythmia interpretation
Assessment, interviewing, and critical thinking skills
Two years recent medical-surgical experience preferred
Bring nursing assessment, patient safety, and collaborative care skills to Brightshores’ medical-surgical department in Southampton.
