This Registered Practical Nurse supports Surgical Inpatient Unit 10 East and West within Humber River Health’s Surgical Program. The role involves Registered Practical Nurse duties in an inpatient surgical setting, with patient health teaching and wide-ranging clinical skills. Candidates bring current registration, BCLS certification, and relevant nursing education.
Key Responsibilities: Provide Registered Practical Nurse duties in the Surgical Inpatient Unit
Deliver patient health teaching during inpatient surgical care
Administer medications and provide wound care dressing




Initiate and discontinue intravenous therapy
Perform intramuscular injections and blood transfusions
Requirements: Recognized two year Registered Practical Nursing diploma
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Minimum one year acute surgical experience preferred
Basic computer skills; Meditech experience is an asset
