Lead recreation facilities and programming for the Village of Carmacks in a full time, 37.5-hour weekly term position. Use scheduling, budgeting, and supervision skills across municipal services.

The Recreation Director reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and works with department leads. This management role maintains selected municipal facilities, services, projects, and recreation operations. Responsibilities span staffing, rentals, programs, events, funding applications, procurement, reporting, maintenance, and equipment needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee Carmacks Recreation Complex and municipal recreation facilities
- Schedule staff, prepare payroll, provide training, and supervise teams
- Track expenses, procurement, funding applications, and departmental reporting
- Manage rentals, programs, maintenance, equipment,



and operating schedules
- Plan community events, tournaments, and seasonal activities

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Recreation Management, or equivalent experience
- Experience managing diverse teams and recreational programs
- Knowledge of recreation software, POS systems, and funding requirements
- Experience developing proposals, administering budgets, and planning events
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and required first aid certification
