Prepare made-to-order meals as a Cook with Aramark Canada’s Dalhousie Food Services team, using culinary experience and customer service skills. Serve residence students with care.
Reporting to the Supervisor, this Cook prepares, cooks, and serves menu items for residence students. The position supports food service at Dalhousie and other campus locations. Candidates bring at least two years of culinary experience and work effectively supervised or unsupervised.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu and made-to-order items
Serve residence students with courteous customer service
Prepare food for other campus locations
Clean and sanitize surrounding work areas continually
Check food temperatures across kitchen stations, fridges, and freezers
Requirements: At least two years of culinary experience
Ability to work effectively supervised and unsupervised
Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 35 pounds
Valid WHMIS certification considered an asset
Advanced Food Protected and First Aid certifications considered assets
Use culinary preparation, food safety, and service skills to support Aramark Canada’s Dalhousie Food Services operations.
