Support addiction recovery at The Alex in Calgary through evidence-based therapies and trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary team. This permanent, full-time position serves complex client needs.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will support clients experiencing substance use concerns and mental, physical, and social complexities. The work includes assessments, individualized service plans, therapeutic encounters, and collaboration with families and community partners. Services are grounded in harm reduction, cultural safety, and recovery-based practice.
Key Responsibilities: Provide evidence-based mental health and substance abuse therapies
Conduct assessments and contribute to individualized service plans
Offer culturally sensitive, same-day, and group programming
Collaborate with clients,



families, and community partners
Complete documentation and assist with data collection
Requirements: Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field
Active Alberta registration with a qualified discipline
Minimum two years of Mental Health Clinician experience
Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed care
Basic or Intermediate First Aid, Level C CPR and AED
Apply clinical judgment, evidence-based treatment, and collaborative communication supporting clients through addiction and mental health complexities.
