About the Role
Our client, a globally recognized mining exploration company, is seeking a distinguished Chief Exploration Geologist to lead their New Ventures team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving the discovery of significant new mineral deposits. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and advancing high-potential exploration targets worldwide. This senior role requires a strategic mind, exceptional geological expertise, and a proven ability to manage exploration programs from grass-roots inception through to advanced exploration stages. We are looking for a visionary geologist who can shape the future discovery pipeline of our organization. Oversee the interpretation of regional and prospect-scale geological, geophysical, and geochemical data. Manage exploration budgets and resources effectively, ensuring efficient deployment of capital. Lead and mentor a team of exploration geologists and consultants, fostering a team-oriented and high-performance environment. Conduct rigorous technical due diligence on potential new projects and joint venture opportunities. Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations,



and recommendations for senior management and the board. Ensure all exploration activities adhere to the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, research institutions, and other industry stakeholders. A Master's or PhD degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline. Expertise in geological interpretation, targeting, and project generation. Proficiency in geological modeling software and GIS applications. Strong understanding of exploration economics and risk assessment. Proven ability to manage remote teams and projects effectively.
Must possess a strong internet connection and a suitable home office environment. Willingness to undertake occasional international travel for project evaluation and stakeholder engagement.
