Provide emergency nursing care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa as a regular part time Registered Nurse. Apply assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills across 12-hour shifts.
The Emergency Registered Nurse works in General Emergency within Lakeridge Health’s Emergency program. Reporting to ER Managers, this RN uses nursing processes and participates as an individual practitioner within the Health Care and Nursing Teams. The position supports current RN practice, professionalism, and positive patient care experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Use nursing processes to provide positive patient care experiences
Participate within the Health Care and Nursing Teams
Maintain competence and professionalism in current RN practices
Maintain accurate nursing records
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements: Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
Current Basic Life Support certification from Heart and Stroke Foundation
IV and defibrillation certification, plus coronary care coursework
Proven EKG, cardiac monitoring, trauma nursing, and assessment skills
Emergency or critical care experience; paediatric experience preferred
Bring emergency assessment, cardiac monitoring, and professional nursing practice to Lakeridge Health Oshawa’s General Emergency department.
