Support critical care research with data collection and administrative coordination at Unity Health Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. This full-time temporary position supports wide-ranging research settings.
As a Research Assistant I, you will provide basic project support to research teams and Principal Investigators. Your work may include participant screening, consent, data processing, sample handling, documentation, and communication with partners. The position is entry level, with potential progression to Research Assistant II and Research Coordination.
Key Responsibilities: Collect, transcribe, quality control, and enter study data
Screen participants, obtain consent, and schedule interviews
Maintain calendars, inventories, files, and research documentation
Prepare routine media, solutions,



reagents, and laboratory procedures
Coordinate communications, meetings, submissions, and external partners
Requirements: Undergraduate degree or one year relevant experience
Basic database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills
Intermediate organizational, communication, and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and within a team
Build critical care research experience through participant coordination, data management, and administrative support at St. Michael’s Hospital.
