Mental health outreach nursing with crisis intervention and psychiatric assessment skills is available through Vancouver Coastal Health in North Vancouver, BC. This position supports versatile community-based care.
As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will work with the North Shore Intensive Case Management Team. The work serves individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use, or chronic medical conditions. You will provide triage, counseling, assessment, treatment planning, and case coordination through an interdisciplinary approach.
Key Responsibilities: Provide inclusionary triage and outreach services
Conduct mental and physical status assessments
Assess high-risk situations and provide crisis intervention
Develop and adjust integrated client care plans




Facilitate connections across acute and community services
Requirements: Current BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
Two years’ recent related mental health and substance use experience
Valid British Columbia driver’s licence and personal vehicle access
Knowledge of counseling, psychopharmacology, and substance use treatment
Ability to conduct psychiatric assessments and coordinate care
Apply psychiatric assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills while supporting integrated outreach care with Vancouver Coastal Health.
