Support complex medical equipment at Foothills Medical Centre as a Biomedical Equipment Technologist II within Clinical Engineering. Work independently in an Operating Room sterile core workshop.
This full time BMET II position provides technical support for complex biomedical and electronic devices. You will apply clinical practices, anatomy and physiology knowledge, medical terminology, healthcare IT, and equipment service expertise. The work supports assurance testing, maintenance, repair, compliance, and workload lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for complex medical equipment and clinical systems
Perform assurance testing, maintenance, and repairs on biomedical devices
Ensure compliance with Health Canada, CSA, manufacturers, and accreditation standards
Prioritize assigned workload and manage equipment lifecycles




Support equipment within an Operating Room sterile core workshop
Requirements: Two-year Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited institute
Medical equipment support experience and medical equipment service coursework
Working knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and healthcare IT
Technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and travel within Alberta, Canada, and internationally
Apply biomedical technology expertise, healthcare IT knowledge, and sound judgment to support clinical equipment at Foothills Medical Centre.
