Support student progression through individualized advising and coaching as an Academic Advisor at NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business, with hybrid work.
This temporary Academic Advisor position supports prospective, current, and returning students through their academic journeys. You will apply student-centered developmental advising, intercultural competence, and knowledge of JRSSB programs and pathways. The work focuses on individualized guidance, referrals, workshops, and collaborative student services.
Key Responsibilities: Provide program-specific academic progression guidance and coaching
Manage at-risk student cases and appropriate referrals
Facilitate outcome-based information sessions and workshops
Maintain student records and complete reporting activities
Enhance student-facing services and business processes
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Three years of related experience
Student-centered developmental advising knowledge
Robust communication, listening, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to learn relevant software and systems
Bring advising, collaboration, and problem-solving expertise to help JR Shaw School of Business students progress at NAIT.
