Operate wastewater and stormwater systems for the City of Colwood, applying technical expertise, sound judgment, and safety leadership in the field. As a regular full time Utility Operator II, you will serve as the senior field operator within Public Works Utilities. The position supports infrastructure operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair while providing functional supervision. You will help resolve complex operational issues, develop team members, and maintain reliable utility services.

Key Responsibilities




Operate and maintain wastewater collection and stormwater infrastructure Troubleshoot and repair complex utility operational issues Functionally direct and supervise Utilities team work Support team member development and continuous operational improvement Act as Chief Operator when the Utilities Supervisor is absent

Requirements:
Minimum three years of directly related experience Minimum one year providing functional supervision EOCP Wastewater Collection Level II certification Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection certifications Valid BC Class 5 licence with air brake endorsement Bring wastewater collection, stormwater infrastructure, and functional supervision expertise to the City of Colwood Utilities team.
