The Laundry Aide manages laundry from receipt through delivery, handling personal clothing, soiled linens, and classified loads. You will follow established safety, environmental, quality, and infection control procedures. The position requires attention to detail, accurate records, and communication with employees, managers, and residents.
Key Responsibilities: Receive laundry and separate loads for washing
Apply specified methods, chemicals, and protective equipment
Observe machines and report operational problems




Keep records and complete incident reports when necessary
Deliver folded laundry to appropriate floors and rooms
Requirements: High school completion or alternative acceptable preparation
WHMIS certification and infection control understanding
Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Successful applicable screening and background checks required
Use careful laundry handling, resident communication, and policy compliance to support The Salvation Army’s healthcare workplace.
