Your vision and leadership as Director, Conference Services and Catering will ensure an engaged team, efficient operations – and offerings that exceed the expectations of every client. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer skilled, friendly and engaging service Direct and manage all activity related to the Catering office, ensuring all service standards are followed Responsible for all catering, from booking to execution and conference services from the time a contract becomes definite to execution Establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, during and post conference,



exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business Conduct site inspections as required Develop annual business plans for the department in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing Ensure meeting and function rooms are properly maintained at all times liaising with food and beverage outlets regarding reservations and flow of clients Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to prepare monthly forecasts Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs Follow departmental policies and procedures Drives function space optimization/maximization to ensure the best utilization of space for guest experience and financial performance Lead a team of Conference Service Managers Lead training and recruitment efforts Follow all safety policies Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and relevant computer applications required Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $5/meal) Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health (up to $5,000/year), Orthodontics (up to $2,500/year), Fertility Drugs and Gender Affimation (Lifetime maximum of $10,000) for full time permanent status employees Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program
