Within HEB Manitoba’s Disability & Rehabilitation department, this Claims Specialist position guides members through a positive, streamlined process. You will assess claim information, determine eligibility, review treatment plans, and manage benefit offsets according to Plan provisions. Experience with disability claims management is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Assess claims using medical information and critical thinking
Determine eligibility under applicable Plan provisions
Apply benefit offsets during claim decision-making
Build relationships with members and stakeholders
Develop knowledge of disability management practices and processes
Requirements: Relevant bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma
Minimum three years applying disability claims management practices
Pursuing the Certified Disability Management Professional designation
Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
Robust digital literacy across multiple systems and platforms
Use rehabilitation knowledge, sound judgment, and organized caseload management to support HEB Manitoba members through disability claims.
