The Senior Payroll Specialist independently oversees payroll across multiple Canadian legal entities and populations. You will manage bi-weekly and off-cycle processing, complex calculations, statutory compliance, and year-end reporting. The role partners with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, vendors, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and validate payroll for multiple legal entities
- Review complex payroll events and upstream HR data
- Prepare statutory remittances and year-end reporting
- Reconcile benefits billing, pensions, deductions, and vendor invoices




- Resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions

Requirements:

- Seven to ten years of progressive Canadian payroll experience
- Accredited payroll compliance professional certification
- Experience supporting 1,500 to 3,000 employees
- Knowledge of Canadian legislation, CPP, EI, and taxable advantages
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Dayforce experience preferred
