Birchwood Circle of Care seeks an Educational Assistant to work independently and collaboratively with its team. The position supports children with complex needs and their families through classroom, community, school, clinic, and home settings. Services may connect with First Nations communities through Jordan’s Principle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one and small-group educational support
- Monitor progress and update teachers about individual needs
- Develop academic, social, emotional, communication, and life skills




- Encourage independence through appropriate guidance and supervision
- Promote safe, inclusive, respectful, trauma-informed learning environments

Requirements:

- Educational Assistant Diploma required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel
- Willingness to travel to First Nations communities
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check required
