MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment. We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and

experience:

Responsibilities:

- Carry out fire assay finish procedures in accordance with documented SOP’s or recognized standard reference methods.
- Comply and conform to the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and ISO 17025).
- Maintain up-to-date logs of relevant documentation.
- Perform fire assay finish techniques such as digestion, gravimetric, AAS, ICP-OES.
- Review data generated by AAS, ICP-OES, and gravimetric methods.
- Inform the department manager of any non-conforming event related to client samples, analytical testing or other laboratory operations.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the department.
- Act in a protected and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE).




- Some lifting is required, up to 30lbs.
- Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

- Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
- Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Technical Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years' experience in a commercial laboratory is preferred, but not required.
- Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job. Principals only please, no agencies.

Job Type
Full time Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
