Teach English to adult newcomers as a LINC/ESL Supply Instructor with HCDSB, supporting classroom coverage through CLB-guided instruction and Google Classroom.
The Halton Catholic District School Board seeks supply instructors for short-term and long-term temporary assignments. You will support English language learning for newcomers and immigrants to Canada, prepare lessons, develop learning materials, and maintain participant records. The work includes PBLA protocols and online delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day coverage during instructor absences
Deliver English instruction following CLB Curriculum Guidelines
Plan lessons for temporary assignments
Develop learning materials as required
Maintain progress documentation and student records
Requirements: Bachelor of Arts degree in a related field
OCELT designation
Knowledge of CLB Curriculum Guidelines
Experience teaching ESL to adults
Ability or willingness to teach using Google Classroom
Bring adult ESL instruction, CLB knowledge, lesson planning, and record-keeping skills to HCDSB supply teaching assignments.
