Overview Located in the heart of Richmond, BC, House of Dawn Steakhouse is a premier dining destination known for exceptional cuts of meat, fresh seafood, and an unforgettable guest experience. We pride ourselves on a high standard of service in a fast-paced, upscale workplace. We are currently looking for energetic and detail-oriented Food Runners / Server Support team members to be the crucial link between our culinary team and the dining room. As a Food Runner and Server Support, you are the backbone of the dining room floor. You will ensure that every dish—from perfectly seared steaks to delicate sides—reaches the guest's table exactly as the chef intended, at the perfect temperature. You will work closely with both the kitchen line and the serving staff to maintain a seamless flow of service, anticipate guest needs, and keep the dining room operating flawlessly during peak hours. Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests' tables accurately, promptly, and with professional presentation.
- Act as the primary communicator between the Front of House (servers) and Back of House (kitchen) during service.
- Inspect dishes for accuracy and presentation before they leave the kitchen (e.g., verifying steak temperatures and sides).
- Assist servers by refilling water glasses, clearing plates,



and resetting tables efficiently.
- Run beverages from the bar to the dining room as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the line, expo station, and server alleys.
- Complete opening, closing, and running side duties (restocking cutlery, rolling silverware, prepping garnishes).
- Answer basic guest questions regarding the menu and immediately relay requests to the primary server. Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- A valid Food Protected Level 1 certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hiring).
- A valid Serving It Right certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to carry large, heavy trays and stand/walk for extended periods (shifts of 6 to 8 hours).
- Exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume steakhouse environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a team-first mentality.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pay: From $18.25 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
