We are looking for an experienced Technical Analyst to support the development, configuration, testing, and ongoing improvement of enterprise financial and lending systems for a major Canadian financial institution. This is a hands-on role combining business analysis, financial systems, technical configuration, software delivery, and quality assurance. You will work directly with the business rules, financial calculations, and application configurations that support lending and credit decisions. Your job is to translate business requirements into reliable system functionality and help deliver those changes through testing, release, and production support.

What you'll do
- Configure and maintain business rules, financial calculations, credit assessment logic, and related application components
- Translate financial and lending requirements into technical specifications, configurations, and rule definitions
- Work with structured configuration files such as XML, JSON, YAML, and similar formats
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and analysts to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Create and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Coordinate software releases and validate changes across development, testing, and production environments
- Investigate and resolve application defects, production incidents, and technical issues
- Maintain documentation for configurations, testing, releases, and operational support
- Support data quality, governance, and traceability requirements
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams on modernization initiatives
- Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, accuracy,

skills:

- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, technical analysis, product analysis, or related technology delivery roles
- Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, commercial off-the-shelf platforms, or configuration-driven applications
- Working knowledge of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Understanding of common financial and credit-risk ratios and how they are used in lending and credit decisions
- Experience translating business and financial requirements into technical specifications, business rules, and system configurations
- Practical experience configuring application behaviour and business rules
- Ability to work with structured configuration formats such as XML, JSON, or YAML
- Experience with software testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, application releases, and production support
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills Assets:
- Experience with lending platforms, credit adjudication, financial spreading, or financial analysis systems
- Familiarity with modern data architecture, integration, and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience with AWS Glue, DataHub, dbt, or related technologies




- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data observability, and governance
- Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 concepts
