- Salary Range: $72,600.00-$80,000.00 For more information about OMERS, visit: https://www.omers.com/ About the Opportunity Reporting to the Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be vital in delivering multi-channel marketing and communications solutions for all affiliated companies. The ideal candidate is a motivated, multi-skilled communicator with strong abilities in storytelling, writing, networking, creating social media content, updating multiple websites, and public relations. This posting is for an existing temporary vacancy up to 18 months.

Key responsibilities
include:
· Coordinate with the Communications Offer on all marketing communications including advertising campaigns, marketing assets, current releases, general PR, trade shows and conferences.
· Assist with development of the operating marketing plans for all GSU companies.
· Assist with media monitoring,



developing key messages, writing press release, developing radio ads and organizing media events.
· Participate in on-call rotation to support communications during power outages and other emergency situations outside of regular

working hours
.
· Some travel required to support marketing initiatives. Seeking the following

qualifications:

· A diploma in a Communications-related field, with marketing experience.
· Superior writing skills with demonstrated proficiency in working with media, e-communications including social media applications.
· Competence in grammar, spelling, punctuation.
· Strong organizational and customer service skills with sound judgement regarding issues of confidentiality.
· Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
· Familiarity with website content management tools, web/social media analytics and basic graphic design principles.
· Keen interest in current affairs and policy matters.
· Must be in possession of a Class G Drivers License.
