- 40 hours per week ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Data Farms Inc., operating as Home Share, is looking for a reliable residential cleaner to work with us in keeping our shared living houses clean and welcoming. Our properties are located throughout Thunder Bay, close to one another. Most of the work involves regular cleaning of shared spaces, with additional cleanings when tenants move out.

We offer
steady, ongoing work and flexible scheduling. We’re happy to coordinate around other clients, jobs, or commitments. What matters most is that the houses are cleaned consistently, thoroughly, and with care. CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES Regular scheduled cleanings cover common areas only. Occupied tenants’ private rooms are not included in the routine cleaning schedule. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing shared kitchens and bathrooms.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Dusting and wiping surfaces in living rooms, hallways, stairs, and other common areas.
- Cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
- Emptying common-area garbage and recycling.
- Completing more thorough room cleanings after tenants move out and before new tenants move in.
- Reporting maintenance issues or other concerns noticed during cleaning. SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY The opportunity involves approximately 40 hours of cleaning per week. We will coordinate a regular cleaning schedule with you, with flexibility to accommodate your other commitments while maintaining consistent cleaning at each house.



You must also have some availability for occasional move-out and move-in preparation cleanings outside the regular schedule. These cleanings will be coordinated with you as needed. WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Your own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence. A vehicle is required to travel between properties.
- The ability to work independently and manage your time.
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your cleaning.
- Reliability and transparent communication.
- A friendly, approachable manner with tenants.
- Respect for tenants’ homes, belongings, and privacy.
- Availability for both recurring cleanings and occasional additional cleanings. Previous residential or rental-property cleaning experience is an asset. The hourly rate will be based on your experience. We provide the cleaning equipment. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR ARRANGEMENT This is an independent contractor opportunity to work with Data Farms Inc., operating as Home Share. You would provide cleaning services as a self-employed individual rather than join our employee payroll. reporting your income, and paying your own income taxes and applicable CPP contributions. Any GST/HST obligations that apply to your business would also be your responsibility.
