About the Opportunity We are looking to connect with a Registered Physiotherapist interested in joining our collaborative Active Rehab model on a flexible, part-time basis. At ELX, the physiotherapist provides clinical assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing clinical direction, while our Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) supports clients through supervised exercise-based rehabilitation sessions. This opportunity is primarily virtual, allowing for flexibility in scheduling. Occasional in-person appointments may be required at our partner gym facility in the Bowmanville area, depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct initial physiotherapy assessments and reassessments, primarily virtually when clinically appropriate.
- Establish diagnoses, individualized treatment plans, clinical recommendations, and rehabilitation goals.
- Provide appropriate clinical direction and supervision for exercise-based rehabilitation delivered by our PTA.
- Communicate with the PTA regarding client progress, concerns, modifications, and treatment progression.
- Develop home exercise recommendations and programs when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Conduct in-person assessments or follow-up appointments when clinically necessary. Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Eligible to practise physiotherapy independently in Ontario.
- Strong interest in active rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, and movement-based care.




- Comfortable conducting virtual physiotherapy assessments and determining when in-person care is appropriate.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with a Physiotherapy Assistant.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to attend occasional in-person appointments in the Bowmanville area.
- Appropriate professional liability insurance. Previous experience with virtual care and PTA supervision is an asset. Schedule and Availability We are particularly interested in physiotherapists who can offer some availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, including morning and/or evening appointments. The schedule is flexible and coordinated based on practitioner availability and client demand. Full-day commitments are not required. This chance may be well suited to a physiotherapist looking to complement an existing clinical schedule with additional appointments and an ongoing collaborative rehabilitation role. Compensation

We offer
a fixed-fee independent contractor structure:
- Physiotherapy appointments: $35–$60 per completed appointment, depending on duration (30–60 minutes).
- Active Rehab clinical oversight: Additional compensation of $25 per completed Active Rehab session delivered by our Physiotherapy Assistant under the physiotherapist's supervision. Scheduling and caseload are flexible, based on practitioner availability and client demand.
