Sunset House, Alberta, Canada ACCOMMODATIONS INCLUDED – PRIVATE 4-BEDROOM HOME ON A SEPARATE ACREAGE NEARBY BARN MANAGER / RIDER WANTED We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced horse person to join our private equestrian and ranch facility in Sunset House, Alberta. Our facility focuses on English riding, show jumping, and the development of young horses. This position involves managing daily barn operations, working with horses, and assisting with general ranch and property maintenance. THE POSITION – BARN MANAGER / RIDER Responsibilities include:
- Daily horse care, feeding, and handling
- Schooling and developing young or green horses
- Riding opportunities based on experience and ability
- Managing daily barn operations and organization
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized barn
- Indoor arena care and maintenance
- Fencing and general property maintenance
- Landscaping and acreage upkeep
- Assisting with a small cattle herd
- General farm and ranch duties This is a hands-on position combining horse care, riding, barn management, and general property maintenance. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Confident and experienced around horses
- English riding background preferred
- Show-jumping experience is a solid asset
- Experience with young or green horses is valuable
- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently




- Willing to assist with all aspects of ranch life
- Physically capable of outdoor and farm work
- Valid driver’s licence required You do not need to be a professional rider, but you should have good horse sense, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
