Overview Working as a Leader Technician, you will be reporting to the shift Supervisor of Maintenance. Lead a team of Apprentices, Electricians and Millwrights while serving as a role model to the group. Ensure documentation is thorough and completed on time. Responsible for prioritizing issues, documentation and report to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Responsibilities You are responsible for supporting maintenance for all of production and is not area specific, this includes but is not limited to Injection/Assembly Departments and other departments as directed. You will also work in our Stratford location from time to time and must be willing to support. Within regulatory limitations install, maintain, upgrade and repair electrical and mechanical equipment including:
- Ensure team is following ALL policies and procedures, including all policies and procedures set out by Health and Safety.
- Power and control cabinets and their components for injection molding machines, conveyors, paint systems, vacuum conveying equipment, pumps, air handling units, robots, compressors, furnaces and ovens.
- Power distribution equipment like transformers, load centers, bus bars, wiring, switch gear, etc.
- Facility and building electrical systems, such as ceiling fans, inside and outside lighting, electrical outlets, electric vehicle charging stations, emergency lights, etc.
- Control, instrumentation and automation components like PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots and sensors (level, temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.)




- Data processing and communication systems that support industrial automation and robots (data networks, servers, industrial process controllers)
- Complete installations, repairs and modifications according to diagram specifications and code requirements.
- Work with industrial systems and installations within regulatory limits
- Conduct basic mechanical repairs and PMs (pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
- Work with the Development team to implement new systems and production equipment.
- Estimate labor, material, and equipment requirements for shutdown work
- Work with specialized contractors to install, repair and maintain industrial & electrical equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to apprentices and junior employees.
- Effectively work on multiple and diverse projects and repairs simultaneously.
- Submitting required documentation, including time sheets, PM records, Work Order records, etc.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Millwrights must hold a 433A License or Apprenticeship for 433A
- Electricians must hold a 442A License or Apprenticeship for 422A




- Install, maintain, upgrade and repair electrical equipment including:
- Power and control cabinets and their components for injection molding machines, conveyors, vacuum conveying equipment, pumps and compressors.
- Power distribution equipment like transformers, load centers, bus bars, wiring, switch gear, etc.
- Facility and building electrical systems, such as ceiling fans, inside and outside lighting, electrical outlets, electric vehicle charging stations, emergency lights, etc.
- Demonstrated hands on experience troubleshooting, repairing and completing preventative maintenance in a quick-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience working with Hydraulics and Pneumatics, able to read schematics
- Experience with the repair of Gate, Globe, Plug and Check Valves. (Repacking, bushing and bonnet repair, gate, and seat repairs)
- Proficient use of precision machinist tools
- Experience with precision shaft alignment by reverse dial indication method or laser alignment equipment, installing sole plates, and leveling
- Demonstrated experience working with robots and highly automated equipment
- Able to operate a forklift, Scissor Lift, Bridge Crane or other motorized equipment
- Ability to trouble shoot and use critical thinking along with problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience with PLCs and electrical knowledge
- Experience working with injection mold machines as well as paint is considered an asset
- Experience working with automation is considered an asset
- Experience working with Fanuc and Yaskawa robots are considered an asset
- Ability to read and write English
- *Must be willing to work Overtime when required.
* Straight Shift Timing on Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM
