Under Nutrition Services leadership, this Cook I supports food production and distribution for related areas. You will follow menus, therapeutic specifications, recipes, and production schedules while maintaining food quality, protected temperatures, and proper leftover handling. The position also supports departmental coordination when supervisors or managers are absent.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare food according to menus, recipes, and therapeutic specifications
Complete texture-modified and therapeutic food preparations
Monitor and record food temperatures through service
Maintain sanitation, labeling, dating,



and storage standards
Coordinate Nutrition Services activities during leadership absences
Requirements: Grade 12 under Manitoba standards
Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1
Health care food service or cooking experience
Demonstrated dexterity, speed, organization, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
Use cooking expertise, food safety knowledge, and independent judgment to support quality Nutrition Services in a healthcare setting.
