- Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding children’s daily experiences, development, and progress.
- Support children's daily routines, including toileting, hygiene, meals, transitions, and self-care, while promoting dignity and independence.
- Ensure Montessori materials are complete, accessible, clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment while actively supervising children at all times.
- Follow the centre’s policies and procedures, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and all applicable Ministry of Education licensing requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent–teacher conferences, curriculum events, professional development, and school-wide activities.
- Maintain accurate classroom documentation, observations, attendance records, and required program records.
- Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, teamwork, and a consistent commitment to Montessori values.
- Maintain current RECE registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and participate in ongoing professional learning to strengthen Montessori knowledge and teaching practices.
