Job Profile The Machinist works with metal and other materials operating CNC Vertical mills to produce machined products to drawing specifications. Primary Responsibilities
- Work independently to perform CNC Vertical Mill operations with FANUC controls
- Work from existing programs and develop new programs as required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Follow established machining practices




- Verify quality of work through inspection with traditional measuring tools General Expectations
- Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations
- Instill a safety culture; lead by example
- Identify and record non-conformities and participate in their resolution
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
- Ability to work as a respectable, qualified and efficient team member
- Maintain a healthy work environment and develop employees on a professional level Qualifications
- ·Apprentice / Journeyperson Machinist or equivalent relevant experience
