Rigger — Dow Path2Zero, Fort Saskatchewan Confluence is sourcing Riggers for the contractors building Dow's Path2Zero project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Journey-level tradespeople with rigging experience are welcome to apply. The work Rigging and signalling on a heavy industrial site: setting pipe, steel and equipment for the cracker, the derivatives units and site infrastructure. Rigging, like scaffolding, runs through much of the project's life, so working under the hook is a good way to extend your time on the project. Key duties and responsibilities
- Read lift plans and rigging drawings and prepare the lift
- Select, inspect and rig slings, shackles, spreader bars and other lifting gear
- Signal crane and equipment operators by hand and radio
- Set and move pipe spools, valves, steel and equipment into position for the trades
- Use chain falls, come-alongs and tuggers
- Work safely at height and around cranes and other trades What we are looking for
- Journey-level ticket (Alberta or Red Seal) in Ironworking, Pipefitting/Steamfitting, Boilermaking, Millwrighting or Carpenter with a rigging certificate or verified rigging experience
- Current safety tickets (CSTS and Fall Protection) Pay Base wage: $52.00 per hour, plus 10% vacation and statutory holiday pay, and employer-paid health and welfare and RSP The hiring contractor confirms pay in its offer. Multi-year project with opportunities closer to home Path2Zero is a multi-year expansion and retrofit at Dow's existing Fort Saskatchewan manufacturing site in Alberta's Industrial Heartland.



The project's multi-year construction schedule creates ongoing workforce needs for participating contractors and opportunities for qualified tradespeople based in the region. What you would be building Path2Zero includes a brownfield expansion and retrofit of Dow's existing Fort Saskatchewan site. Planned project components include a new ethylene cracker with carbon-capture technology, expanded polyethylene production, power and steam cogeneration, and upgrades to roads, rail, utilities and other site infrastructure. The project is intended to create an integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives site with net-zero Scope 1 and 2 carbon dioxide emissions. Pay: $52.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
