Our Daia Orthodontics Woodstock and Grand Falls locations are looking for a friendly, motivated and patient-focused Certified Dental Assistant to join our orthodontic team. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and create a warm, positive experience at every visit
- Prepare patients and treatment areas for orthodontic appointments
- Assist with orthodontic procedures including bonding, banding, aligners, arch wires, debonding and appliance inserts
- Take diagnostic records including X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photographs and digital scans
- Prepare, organize and maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe clinical environment
- Support efficient patient flow and assist the Orthodontist chairside as required
- Provide oral hygiene and appliance instructions to patients as directed
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Support patients with questions throughout their orthodontic treatment
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to maintain an efficient, positive and patient-centered environment
- Travel between the Woodstock and Grand Falls locations as required What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Dental Assistant eligible to practice in New Brunswick
- NDAEB certification required
- Successful completion of a recognized Dental Assisting program
- Previous orthodontic experience is an asset, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, caring and patient-focused approach
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with dental or orthodontic software is considered an asset
- Dependable and team-oriented team player
- Willingness to learn and grow within an orthodontic setting
Location:
