Support client-centered MRI care with patient monitoring, image quality control, and specialized imaging software at Victoria General Hospital. Travel between sites may be required.
Under general supervision, this MRI Technologist performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures as part of Island Health’s multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include operating related equipment, coordinating workload, archiving images, and maintaining computerized patient data. The temporary full time assignment carries a 1.0 paid FTE and follows a scheduled shift pattern with rotating days off.
Key Responsibilities: Operate MRI acquisition and related specialized equipment
Monitor patients and prepare required supplies
Complete imaging requisitions, forms, and reports




Archive acquired images and manage patient data
Apply quality and safety practices throughout procedures
Requirements: Recent related experience totaling three years
Two years MRI experience in an acute setting
CAMRT RTMR certification or equivalent education, training, and experience
Ability to organize workload and establish priorities collaboratively
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Use MRI procedure expertise, organized workload coordination, and effective communication to support patients and the health care team.
