At Mississauga-Oakville Emergency & Specialty Hospital, the Registered Veterinary Technician supports emergency patients from assessment through treatment. Responsibilities include venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostic radiographs, surgical preparation, and medication administration. The hospital’s team-oriented emergency team supports learning alongside experienced veterinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and assist triage
Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
Collect samples and complete in-house laboratory procedures




Monitor anesthesia throughout induction, maintenance, and recovery
Dispense medications and administer guided treatments
Requirements: Completed Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
