The Exchange on Mayne Island is looking for managers, for our newly opening restaurant. The restaurant is a small farm-to-table concept with much of the menu grown directly on site, or supplied locally. The ideal candidate would be a couple or individuals with some restaurant experience, looking for a fun opportunity to grow an exciting community project from the beginning, perhaps a sous chef or front-of-house manager looking to put your own stamp on a menu and process, and run your own show. Restaurant industry specific experience is not required however, and if you’ve previously managed *any
* small business you might just be a outstanding fit A passion for flavourful, healthy food, and a love for hosting dinner guests are the only base requirements. The work would include staffing and scheduling, menu management, inventory and ordering, sales management, marketing, some administrative duties, and likely working a regular shift in the restaurant, serving,



hosting, bar-tending, or cooking and cleanup. Compensation will include a base salary plus profit share, and can be adjusted commensurate with your experience, availability, and capabilities. Mayne Island offers a low cost of living and there is a lovely 800sq.ft apartment on site with ocean views that can be included in the pay package for the right applicant(s). The restaurant will open soon, and positions are available immediately as we prepare the menu and front-of-house program and begin a marketing campaign.
