Overview The Medical Aesthetician provides attentive guest care and supports a welcoming, hygienic service environment. This role combines guest services, front desk support, treatment-related services, and product guidance to create a smooth, positive experience. Duties
- Conduct detailed skin analysis and assess different skin types and concerns. 2. Advanced Facial Treatments The candidate should be experienced in:
- Deep cleansing facials.
- Hydrating and rejuvenating facials.
- Acne-control facials.
- Anti-ageing facials.
- Brightening and pigmentation treatments.
- Chemical peels (appropriate to their training and legal scope).
- Microdermabrasion.
- Hydrodermabrasion/Hydrafacial.
- LED light therapy.
- Oxygen facials.
- Enzyme treatments.
- Extractions and congestion treatments. 3. Advanced Skin Knowledge This is particularly important. Your aesthetician should understand:
- Skin anatomy and physiology.
- Skin barrier function.
- Collagen and elastin production.
- Skin regeneration and cell turnover.
- Hyperpigmentation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Acne and comedones.
- Rosacea and sensitive skin.
- Dehydrated versus dry skin.
- Different types of chemical exfoliation.
- Active skincare ingredients, including retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. 4. Skincare Product Knowledge They should be able to:
- Recommend professional skincare products.
- Understand ingredient compatibility.
- Build morning and evening skincare routines.
- Explain pre-treatment and post-treatment skincare.
- Recommend products according to skin type and concerns.
- Educate clients about proper skincare maintenance. 5. Client Management
- Conduct consultations before treatments.
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment histories.
- Explain procedures, expectations and aftercare.




- Maintain professional client relationships.
- Follow up with clients after treatments when appropriate.
- Handle bookings and appointment scheduling.
- Recommend suitable treatment packages and skincare products without pressuring clients. 6. Hygiene & Clinic Maintenance
- Follow strict sanitation and infection-control protocols.
- Properly sterilise or disinfect equipment as required.
- Maintain treatment rooms.
- Follow appropriate disposable-product protocols.
- Maintain inventory of skincare products and supplies.
- Ensure treatment beds and equipment are clean and ready for every client. 7. Sales & Business Responsibilities I would also expect your aesthetician to:
- Recommend treatment plans to clients.
- Promote skincare packages and memberships.
- Understand retail skincare sales.
- Help with client retention.
- Maintain qualified communication.
- Assist with social media content and treatment demonstrations if required.
- Identify concerns such as acne, pigmentation, melasma, congestion, dehydration, fine lines and ageing.
- Understand sensitive, dry, oily and combination skin.
- Recommend appropriate skincare treatments based on individual skin concerns.
- Create personalised skincare routines for clients.
- Understand contraindications and identify when a client should be referred to a healthcare professional. Requirements Required: Practical customer service, communication, front desk, and sanitation capabilities support safe, organized guest care and effective coordination. Preferred: Related guest services or hospitality experience, along with skills in body waxing, hair styling, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, product demos, retail sales, sales, and upselling, can strengthen the guest experience and support product recommendations. Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
