Job Overview The Counter Attendant and Kitchen Helper supports smooth food service by assisting with preparation, serving customers, and keeping the counter and kitchen clean and organized. This hands-on role combines friendly customer service with careful food handling and efficient teamwork. Responsibilities
- Prepare food and assist with serving, following food safety and sanitation practices.
- Welcome customers, take orders, operate the POS, process payments, and handle cash accurately.
- Use upselling appropriately, complete basic math, and manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Clean and organize work areas, utensils, and equipment to support a safe, orderly kitchen.
- Your impact: Prompt, accurate service helps customers enjoy their meals and enables colleagues to keep service moving. Qualifications Required: Practical food preparation, food handling, food safety, sanitation,



customer service, cashiering, cash handling, basic math, and time management capabilities support daily counter and kitchen duties. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, or kitchen experience; familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, and serving customers are valuable strengths. An approachable manner and dependable teamwork help create a welcoming experience. Part time job position available in a restaurant at Cataraqui Center.
