PRE-OPENING TEAM Host *Le Méridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel | Toronto, Ontario
* Employment Type: Full-time Savour Life’s Journey with a Career at Le Méridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel Located in downtown Toronto, our new 223 room hotel will feature multiple restaurants, bars, a spa, and approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. Join our opening culinary team and help create memorable dining and event experiences for our guests. Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the Host creates a welcoming first impression and coordinates reservations, seating and guest flow to support a smooth restaurant experience. During pre-opening, this role will participate in training, outlet or event setup and opening-readiness activities while learning Le Méridien and Marriott service standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Welcome guests warmly, confirm reservations and escort guests to their tables.
· Manage telephone and online reservations, walk-ins and waitlists accurately.
· Plan seating and table assignments in coordination with the supervisor and service team.
· Communicate wait times clearly and keep waiting guests informed.
· Record and communicate guest preferences, celebrations, accessibility needs and special requests.
· Provide accurate information about restaurant hours, menus and hotel dining options.
· Monitor table readiness and coordinate with servers and attendants to maintain service flow.
· Respond to guest inquiries and concerns professionally, referring unresolved matters to a supervisor.
· Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure menus are presentable and up to date.
· Protect guest information and follow reservation, accessibility and workplace safety procedures.
· Participate in pre-opening training, reservation-system testing and service rehearsals. Qualifications and Experience
· Previous hosting,



reservations or customer-service experience is preferred; restaurant or hotel experience is an asset.
· Warm, confident communication skills in person and by telephone.
· Strong organization and attention to detail when managing reservations and seating plans.
· Ability to remain calm and welcoming during busy service periods.
· Comfort using computers and learning restaurant reservation platforms.
· Ability to coordinate with colleagues and respond thoughtfully to guest requests.
· Ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing and walking for extended periods and escorting guests through dining areas, with accommodation where required.
· Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays, based on operational needs.
