Job Purpose: We are lloking for a HR Generalist that will be responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, advantages administration, and compliance with employment legislation. Responsibilities:
Employee relations & HR Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and management HR inquiries.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Support managers with employee relations concerns, performance management, progressive discipline, and terminations.
- Investigate workplace complaints, policy violations, and harassment concerns, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify trends or opportunities for improvement Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and hiring recommendations.
- Coordinate employment offers, background checks, and onboarding activities.
- Deliver new employee orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.

- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment standards, human rights legislation, privacy requirements, and company policies.
- Stay current on employment law, regulatory changes, and HR best practices.
- Prepare and distribute HR communications relating to policies, benefits, programs, and workplace updates
- Administer employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and employee support.




- Coordinate employee leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work programs.
- Support payroll administration by ensuring personnel information is accurate and up to date. Training, Health & Safety
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and mandatory training programs.
- Participate in and support the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Promote a safe work environment by supporting health and safety policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Manage all WSIB claims, including incident reporting, claim administration, modified work programs, and return-to-work coordination.
- Report hazards, incidents, and injuries to the supervisor.
- Follow safe work procedures and rules.
- Use personal protective equipment and clothing as directed by the employer.
- Report any known missing or defective equipment or protective device.

- College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation, or actively working toward obtaining certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, produce, or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, human rights, WSIB, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office,
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Active listening and problem-solving skills for employee relations
