About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing retail chain, is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Retail Merchandiser to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about retail presentation and visual storytelling. You will support the Merchandising Manager in creating visually appealing store layouts, product displays, and promotional setups that attract customers and drive sales. This hybrid role involves both in-store execution and potential remote planning and coordination. The ideal candidate is creative, has a keen eye for aesthetics, and is eager to learn the fundamentals of retail merchandising. You will play a vital role in ensuring our client's stores are attractive, organized, and aligned with brand standards, contributing directly to the shopping experience. Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of visual merchandising plans for store locations. Create and maintain attractive product displays, window arrangements, and in-store signage. Ensure all merchandise is displayed according to brand guidelines and current promotions. Support the Merchandising Manager in planning and executing seasonal campaigns and store refreshes. Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising standards and provide feedback. Help manage inventory of visual merchandising props and display materials. Stay updated on retail display trends and competitor activities.



Collaborate with store teams to ensure effective execution of merchandising directives. Assist in gathering data on display effectiveness and customer response. Participate in training sessions to develop merchandising skills and product knowledge.

Requirements

A strong interest in retail, visual merchandising, and display design. Excellent eye for detail and a good sense of aesthetics. Basic understanding of retail operations and customer flow. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel to various store locations within the region. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some weekends, as required for store setups. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a qualification in design, marketing, or retail is a plus. Proficiency with basic computer applications. Must be able to work from the Kimberley, Northern Cape area, with hybrid remote flexibility.
