Flooreno is an interior finishing and renovation contractor specializing in residential and commercial flooring and interior renovation projects. We are looking for an experienced Flooring & Interior Renovation Estimator who can manage the estimating process from the initial site visit through quotation, client follow-up, negotiation, and project handoff.

This is not strictly a desk estimating position. The successful candidate will regularly meet clients on site, assess existing conditions, take accurate measurements, understand the required scope of work, prepare detailed quotations, and work directly with clients to help secure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend residential and commercial client sites to complete measurements and project assessments.
- Take accurate and detailed measurements of flooring areas, stairs, baseboards, trim, walls, and other applicable work areas.
- Document existing site conditions, required preparation, demolition, transitions, floor heights, subfloor conditions, access limitations, and other factors that may affect installation or pricing.
- Review the proposed scope of work with clients and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding products, installation methods, preparation requirements, and project procedures.
- Calculate material quantities, waste factors, labour requirements, preparation work, accessories, and other project costs.
- Prepare clear, detailed and accurate estimates and proposals after returning to the office.
- Estimate projects involving products such as:




- Engineered and solid hardwood
- Laminate flooring
- Luxury vinyl plank/tile
- Glue-down vinyl and other resilient flooring
- Carpet, carpet tile and related products
- Flooring preparation, removal and disposal
- Estimate related interior finishing work where required, including baseboards, casings, stairs and railings, painting, drywall, framing, tile and general renovation work.
- Follow up consistently on outstanding quotations and leads.
- Discuss quotations and scope of work with clients and answer technical or pricing questions.
- Negotiate pricing within company guidelines and work toward successfully closing projects.
- Coordinate with the sales, installation and project management teams to ensure the quoted scope is clearly communicated before work begins.
- Identify potential extras, exclusions, site conditions and risks before a project is sold.
- Maintain organized records of measurements, photos, drawings, selections, client communications and quotation revisions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience in flooring sales, flooring estimating, construction estimating or a related position is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of flooring products and installation methods, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet and glue-down flooring systems.
- Ability to accurately measure projects and calculate material and labour quantities.
- General construction and renovation knowledge, including an understanding of baseboards and trim, stairs, painting, framing,



drywall and other interior finishing work.
- Ability to identify common flooring and subfloor conditions that may affect installation or require additional preparation.
- Comfortable meeting and communicating directly with homeowners, contractors, designers and commercial clients.
- Strong sales, communication, follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prepare professional, detailed and accurate quotations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify items that may otherwise result in missed costs or project extras.
- Comfortable working both independently in the field and collaboratively with an office/project team.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites within the GTA.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands that a successful estimate involves more than taking square footage.

The estimator should be able to walk into a project, understand what the client is trying to accomplish, accurately document the existing conditions, determine the proper installation requirements, identify potential issues, calculate the complete scope of work, and communicate that scope clearly to both the client and our installation/project management teams.

The ideal candidate combines technical flooring knowledge, construction awareness, accurate estimating skills and strong sales ability. The estimator will be expected to take ownership of opportunities from the initial site measurement through quotation, follow-up, negotiation and closing.

Pay: $3,500.00-$4,500.00 per month
